Amanda: 'I want to have every kind of surgery possible!'
Britain's got talent judge Amanda Holden, 37, never wants to look old. Is that why she seems a bit different?
She's brightening up our screens every Saturday on Britain's Got Talent, but as we watch Amanda Holden go through every emotion from hysterical laughter to bawling her eyes out, we can't help but think she's changed lately.
Since Cutting It elevated the actress to household stardom in 2002-the same year she split from Les Dennis-Amanda's face has been a familiar sight in newspapers and magazines.
And while no one can deny that she looks great, the once plump-cheecked, fresh-faced, natural beauty doesn't seem to look the way she did just a year ago.
Now the 37-year-old appears to have let slip a possible reason. When quizzed about Botox and fillers she said: 'Look, I'm not admitting to anything, but I don't know a single actress my age who hasn't.'
A friend of Amanda's tells us they reckon it's possible she's already having a little help. 'No one thought in a million years that she'd opt for surgery but she's very keen to keep looking youthful. She's now always carefully made up and is completely wrinkle free.'
Amanda says herself that's exactly how she intends to stay. 'I'm never going to look old. I want to have every kind of surgery enhancement and surgery possible. If it's there, I'll pay for it.' She's said.
'I don't believe actresses who say they'd never have surgery. You can't possibly know what's going to happen to your body and how you'll feel about it.'
So whether she's had a little help from a surgeon or it's just the result of a good face cream, heavier make up and a wrinkle hiding fringe, Amanda is obviously doing something to hold back the years. Friends say they noticed her beauty regime stepped up a notch when daughter Lexi was born in February 2006.
Luckily for her, pregnancy didn't have too much of an impact on her size 8-10 figure. 'My tummy was flatter after she was born and I never had any sickness or got stretch marks,' Amanda revealed.
But that didn't stop her worrying about the effect all those sleepless nights would have on her face. Her friend adds, 'Amanda constantly worries about how she looks on Britain's Got Talent. It's a shame really since she's so naturally pretty.'
Could Amanda's plans to conquer age-obssesed America have caused her concern over her appearance? Or is it her wedding in December to record exec fiance Chris Hughes?
She recently joked, 'I can see us growing old together, except I won't look old. He'll be grey and I'll look like Joan Rivers!'
Let's hope she doesn't take things quite that far...
SO, HAS AMANDA HAD SURGERY?
We asked top cosmetic surgeon Alex Karidis whether he thinks the actress has succumbed to the scalpel
'Amanda is still quite young but it looks like she's already taking action to stop the signs of ageing. There's a fullness to her mouth-and if you look closely her lips are rounded at the edges and they project forward, which can be signs of injectable fillers.
Her nose-to-mouth lines are absent and there's a fullness and lack of movement here too, so I assume some filler has been used.
She has no laughter lines when she smiles and even though her nose wrinkles she has no frown lines-a sign that she could have been using Botox.
It may look as if she has quite a few lines around her eyes but she doesn't actually have that many, it's just that the smoothness of the rest of her face is a real contrast with this area.
Overall I think it would be fair to say she's bought herself some time.'
